The clinical record
Record allergies, precautions and assessments so nobody treats a customer without knowing what matters.
Reviewed on Saturday, October 24, 2026
The clinical record lives in the customer’s Treatments and Documents tabs. What you need to know before treating them (allergies, precautions and standing notes) always appears in the Before attending column, on every tab.
Record the clinical information
1In the record, tap Edit.
2In Clinical information, type each allergy or medication and press Enter. The Medical history is free text.
3In Precautions, add contraindications, sensitivities or restrictions.
4Write the Standing notes, if there are any.
5Tap Save changes.
Assessments
The assessment is what the professional observed and decided before treating. In the Treatments tab, Assessments card, tap New assessment, choose the Treatment and the Professional decision, fill in whatever applies and tap Record assessment. If the form was filled in on paper, attach it.
Candidate: can receive the treatment. It’s the only decision that lets it start.
Postpone, Not a candidate or Refer: not treated for now.
Why can’t the front desk edit allergies?
Clinical information, precautions and standing notes can only be changed by clinical and administrative roles. Front desk can view them and edit the rest of the record.
When does MAYEL ask for the assessment?
When a treatment is set up with Requires a prior assessment. It’s checked when you start the plan with Today and when you start the appointment in the schedule.
