Record an expense
Capture what your business pays, with its receipt, and decide whether the money already went out or is still pending.

In MAYEL, recognizing an expense isn’t the same as paying it: the expense belongs to the day it was incurred, and only the payment moves money. That’s why you can record it as paid or as pending.
1In Expenses, tap Register → Register expense.
2Under The expense, choose the Category and the Date. If the category doesn’t exist, type it and choose New category.
3Under The amount, enter the Amount as it appears on the invoice and, if they apply, the discount and taxes. The totals panel shows you the final total.
4Under The receipt, tap Attach photos or PDFs or Photograph the ticket.
5Under The payment, leave The money already left on and choose the Account, or turn it off to leave it pending.
6Tap Register expense.
Pay later
Open a pending expense and tap Record a payment. The Amount is filled in with what’s left; change it if you’re only paying part, and tap Mark as paid.
How do I delete an expense I entered twice?
Nothing is deleted: open it and tap Void the expense with a reason. It stops counting in the totals and stays in the history. Only the owner, the administrator and the manager can void.
What’s the point of marking a category as fixed or variable?
MAYEL uses it to calculate your break-even point. Categories left Not marked yet are left out of that calculation.
